Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Supervisor -Westside Clinic

Reports to: Senior Manager-Clinical Operations Status: Part-time, exempt

Overview/ Job Purpose

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations for assigned clinic(s) to ensure efficient operations and the delivery of the highest quality patient care possible. The Clinical supervisor is responsible for ensuring adequate staffing, clinical staffing, clinical team competency and quality, and assists leadership to meet organizational goals and objectives.

Summary of Primary Duties:

  • Train and develop staff with ongoing support from leadership to ensure they are capable of performing their duties while assisting with the development ongoing training/ continuing education programs
  • Complete employee reviews and work with HR to develop performance improvement plans as necessary
  • Plan, assign, and direct work; oversee and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems with the guidance of the leadership and HR
  • Participate in interviews and hiring decisions with guidance from leadership
  • Create staff schedules for the clinic; approve and/ or deny time off request;
  • Cover clinical shifts as necessary due to staffing needs
  • Ensure at all times the assigned clinic(s) operate in a high-quality manner
  • Provide clinic-specific feedback at staffing meetings
  • Supervise, as required, the staff in the conduct of clinical care
  • Provide consistent weekly communication to leadership, ensuring that information, reports, and materials are provided, to clearly describe clinic activities and progress toward agreed-upon objectives
  • Run daily huddles and disseminate important information to their teams
  • Complete quality control measures for the clinic
  • Maintain clinic cleanliness and par levels for supplies
  • Operate as a patient advocate when necessary
  • Assist HR in tracking clinic staff certification status and renewals
  • Assist with monitoring patient messages through website/phone to ensure a timely response
  • Maintain high level patient satisfaction
  • Maintains clinical and organizational key performance indicators regarding volume, access, revenue and quality control to be determined by your direct supervisor
  • Exemplifies the company CORE values and assures the CORE values are being followed by subordinates
  • Manage the clinic schedule and check provider schedules daily to see where appointments could be added to assist in reaching organizational capacity utilization goals

Performance Requirements:

  • Able to communicate and relate well with patients, providers, and other clinical staff
  • Able to provide innovative input into the development and ongoing improvement of the clinic and its processes
  • Efficient, organized, and accurate

Education and Experience:

  • Current State of New Mexico licensure as RN, EMT, MA or other clinical licensure preferred
  • Experience in healthcare preferred
  • One year supervisor or leadership experience preferred
  • One to Three years experience in an outpatient clinic environment preferred
  • Must have an understanding of ethics of confidentiality
  • Experience Microsoft Office

Physical Demands Requirements:

  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/ or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/ or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for medium work

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

  • Primary Care or Family Medicine: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • RN, MA, EMT certification (Preferred)
