Position: Clinical Training Specialist, TEAM UP for Children

Location: Boston, MA

Schedule: 20 hours per week, Hybrid

POSITION SUMMARY:

The TEAM UP Scaling and Sustainability Center is seeking a behavioral health clinician to join our training and consultation team. Ideal candidates will have a commitment to health equity, experience working in general pediatric clinical practice, and expertise in pediatric mental health. Applicants interested in working 10 - 30 hours per week are encouraged to apply; responsibilities will be adjusted according to the agreed upon time allocation. This is a hybrid position; work is conducted remotely with occasional in-person meetings and trainings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Clinical Training Specialist (CTS) generates and facilitates programmatic practices to build knowledge, comfort, and confidence among pediatric primary care team members and organizational capacity to support behavioral health care for TEAM UP partners.
  • In collaboration with the clinical training team, the CTS plans curriculum and organizes Learning Community activities, including but not limited to foundational training for Behavioral Health Clinicians and other integrated care team members.
  • With the support of the clinical training team, the CTS participates in and ultimately facilitates clinical training activities related to early childhood.
  • The CTS reviews existing TEAM UP EC training and e-course materials to ensure content is current, responsive to the needs of our partners, and aligned with all TEAM UP’s guiding principles.

  • The CTS participates in the generation of new content as needed.
  • In collaboration with both the clinical training and practice transformation teams, the CTS supports health center capacity building in workflows and quality improvement processes.
  • As part of the training team, the CTS provides direct consultation support to our partners upon request.
  • The CTS will participate in all clinical training team meetings and other meetings as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Advanced degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or related field

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Strongly prefer independent clinical licensure, either in the US or another country (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or comparable license).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience providing direct care, some of which includes working with children and families
  • Prior experience teaching, training, and/or providing clinical supervision

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Completion of training course and/or certification in a pediatric mental health model such as Child-Parent Psychotherapy, DC 0-5, Centering Pregnancy/Parenting, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Touchpoints, Circle of Security, Reflective Consultation/Practice
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

This position is grant funded. There may be opportunity beyond this grant funding for position integration into ongoing operations.
