Under the direction of the Commercial Banking Credit Manager or Commercial Banking Team Leader this position is a partner to the Primary Relationship Officer (PRO), responsible for the evaluation of financial and other risks associated with business clients in order to make a credit decision, loan structuring, and making recommendations to a credit approver. Commercial Credit Underwriter III and above may approve loans within their credit authority so long as they have not underwritten the credit request. This position requires strong commercial credit skills and experience. Assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
