Job Description

Capital / Insurance Services Corp. (CISC) is seeking a licensed CSR with full working knowledge of commercial lines insurance coverage including professional liability. Candidates must be well organized, energetic, with proven computer skills. Knowledge of Applied Systems a plus. Position requires selling, servicing and insurance placement experience.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Interface, review endorsements
  • Certificates / Evidence of insurance
  • Process audits
  • Past dues & reinstatements
  • Process returned renewal letters as assigned
  • Process endorsements as assigned
  • Process renewal declarations as assigned
  • Prepare renewal letters as assigned
  • Company final cancels & non-renewals
  • Re-quotes due to increases & re-quote from non-standard carriers
  • Process items in image inbox
  • Rewrites due to cancel for non-payment w/ same company

Education / Experience

Three to five years of related experience in a customer focused position or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence, and letters. Writes simple correspondence. Presents information in a one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills

Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides using whole numbers, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed, uninvolved, written or oral instructions. Deals with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Reach with hands, arms. Must be able to talk and hear. Required to stand and walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and on occasion lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
