COMMERCIAL MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 2 years working in the mortgage, real estate or financial services industries. (Mortgage or real estate experience preferred)
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and others.
  • Ability to type 40 WPM.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to evaluate multiple loan scenarios, determine which loan processes apply, and successfully process the loan in a timely manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks effectively and independently with minimal supervision from Manager.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Loan Originator/Processor is primarily responsible for processing loans from origination through closing, following established policies and procedures. They may also perform initial research on loan inquiries and provide support as needed to other areas of the department
(Underwriting, Marketing, and Management).

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with brokers and borrowers on a regular basis to get needed information, collect required documents, and keep the borrowers updated on the loan’s progress.
  • Ensure that Title is opened promptly on all loans with returned CLA’s.
  • Ensure that all required inspections, appraisals, and environmental testing are ordered in a timely manner and that the completed reports are saved to the loan file.
  • Pull credit reports and run OFAC inquiries for all borrowers
  • Follow-up with the Loan Officers, Brokers or Borrowers as required for file completion
  • Collect and assemble all required documents and check for completeness.
  • Archive all required documents in both an electronic and a physical file for each loan.
  • Accurately generate all loan documents for review by the underwriters prior to signing.
  • Act as liaison between American Life Financial and the title companies.
  • Review all signed loan packages returned by Title. Ensure documents are complete by reconciling against Settlement Statement, Fees Worksheet and Funding Instructions to verify final closing amounts and conditions match.
  • Deliver reconciled loan package to underwriters for final review and assist underwriter as necessary.
  • Complete final quality control of funded loans, see that all “To Come” items are resolved.
  • Support customer service goals by performing preliminary research on loan inquiries as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time position. Office hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday – Friday

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
