ContinuousNature of Work:
Under the supervision of the Chronic Disease Prevention Program Supervisor, performs tobacco retailer education visits for the Chronic Disease Prevention Program. Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting licensed tobacco retailer education visits to ensure compliance with local and federal laws ensuring those under 21 years of age are not illegally sold tobacco products.
Must have a personal vehicle available for use with mileage reimbursement provided per Department of Health policies and must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in Maryland. May require occasional evening and weekend assignments.
Experience:
Ability to verbally communicate fluently, in English. The ability to verbally communicate in Spanish is preferred but not required.
License or Certification:
Valid Maryland driver’s license.
Notes:
Experience with anti-tobacco education and community health outreach activities.
