Job Description

Compliance Analyst
The Compliance Analyst performs various assignments related to the Bank’s Compliance Risk Management Program. This position is primarily responsible for periodic compliance testing including reporting outcomes to the VP Compliance - Bank.
Qualities of a successful candidate include:
  • A high School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • 1-2 years of compliance or related experience required.
  • Understanding of federal and state banking regulations including Consumer Protection Laws, Deposit Regulations, and CRA.
  • Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite with the ability to learn new software.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of this position include (but not limited to):
  • Performs compliance reviews for the Bank by following established Bank procedures.
  • Evaluates Bank compliance with internal policies and procedures and applicable banking regulations. Make recommendations to the VP Compliance - Bank for improving compliance systems and appropriate corrective action of deficient areas.
  • Assist with remediation of errors identified within the compliance reviews.
  • Assist in performing compliance/operational training as needed.
  • Answer questions related to Federal and State compliance requirements and how to stay in compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation for positions is based on the specific position and may be paid in the form of an hourly wage, a semi-monthly salary, commissions, or a combination of them. Depending on the specific position, some may be paid solely on commissions or others may include a bonus structure.
