Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Material Sampling and Testing: Perform sampling and testing of construction materials including soils, aggregates, density testing, and concrete to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Field Inspections: Conduct field inspections on construction sites to monitor and evaluate material quality and site conditions.
  • Certification Preparation: Work towards obtaining ACI (American Concrete Institute) and Nuclear Gauge Safety Certifications, with support from the company.
  • Professional Development: Aim to achieve ICC (International Code Council) and/or NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Certifications to advance your career.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Construction Materials Lab Managers to ensure accurate testing and reporting of results.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong foundation in technical skills related to construction material testing.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration with team members.
  • Quality Focus: Commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate results in all testing and inspection activities.
  • Leadership Ambition: Desire to grow into a leadership role within the company, taking on increased responsibilities over time.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Compliance: Ability to pass a background check to work on federal projects.
  • Certifications: Special Inspection Certifications is a plus!
  • Weather: Ability to work seasonal in weather conditions.
