Position: Construction Project Manager

Position Overview: As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. You will take charge of the project by partnering with our field teams, vendors, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for on-site management, scheduling, and leading field teams across multiple locations, ensuring high-quality project completion on time and within budget. Your role will involve resource management, fostering effective communication with stakeholders, and guiding the project towards its objectives. You will additionally cooperate with the design team to develop project estimates, refine specifications, determine pricing, and finalize schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking critical milestones and ensuring project progression according to plan. Mitigate delays and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate the work of field employees across multiple sites to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Work with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

On-Site Management

  • Oversee daily operations at various construction sites, ensuring that work is progressing according to plan.
  • Address any issues or delays on-site, providing quick solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize potential issues. Proactively address challenges and deviations, and ensure timely resolution.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage field employees, ensuring they are equipped and motivated to perform.
  • Assign daily tasks to on-site crews and ensure all team members understand project goals.
  • Conduct regular on-site meetings to review progress and align on next steps.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Address any client concerns or requests promptly and professionally.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Monitor project budgets and resource allocation to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Work closely with the purchasing department to track material costs and ensure projects stay within financial limits.
  • Review and approve invoices for subcontractor work and material orders.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, ensuring alignment with project goals. Implement cost-effective strategies and address budget deviations promptly.

Quality Control & Safety Oversight:

  • Inspect work at various stages to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
  • Implement and maintain a strong safety culture on all job sites, ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce company policies regarding job site safety.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and progress updates.
  • Submit weekly progress reports to upper management, highlighting any potential risks or issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation of any project changes or modifications for client review and approval.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of field Construction Project Management with in-field construction experience.
  • Proven experience in project scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, processes, building codes and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
