Ergon, Inc in Flowood currently has an opening for a Contracts Analyst within the Contracts Management Department.

The Contracts Analyst performs complex and specialized duties related to the preparation and processing of contracts for a wide variety of services provided by Ergon entities and outside contractors. To ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in contracts. Mitigate risk, achieve mutually beneficial outcomes in agreements and contracts. Maintain accurate and organized legal filling systems.

Contracts Analyst Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft from developed templates contracts for services, review, negotiate and edit contracts and agreements.
• Receive from vendor, Certificate of Insurance for insurance limit review, negotiation, for vendor approval.
• Collaborate with other operational teams requesting their input regarding the negotiation of contracts and Certificates of Insurance.
• Work with vendors regarding any questions on contract terms, requirements, and negotiate accordingly.
• Monitor and coordinate the contract approval process from contract generation to contract execution for all contracts, which includes distribution of all contracts, amendments, and extensions as assigned.
• Serve as custodian of records for all contracts and insurance certificates and develops and maintains database for tracking all assigned contracts and related documents.
• Confer with requestors to develop and prepare assigned contracts and agreements, amendments to agreements, and Certificates of Insurance.
• Respond to questions concerning the interpretation, requirements, terms and limitations of contracts and Certificates of Insurance.
• Assure that all documents are completed in accordance with established policies.
• Attend trainings, workshops, and other professional development events to maintain current knowledge and identify emerging trends related to assigned duties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Contracts Analyst Education and Job Requirements:

• A college degree in a related field is required.
• 5 - 8 years of experience in contracts, legal, or insurance is preferred.
• Excellent organization and people skills
• Exhibits assertiveness as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
