Mandeville, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Production Technicians to construct, wire and configure assemblies that comprise small to medium size marine control systems. If you were ever interested in the construction and configuration of systems that control the propulsion of marine vessels or systems that control the power plant of vessels, we might have an opening for you. Essential Duties:

• Construction and configuration of control system enclosures according to work orders, drawings and assembly manuals.
• Assist in layout and wiring of system wide factory testing and validation before systems are installed on a marine vessel
• Assist in breakdown of factory testing and prepare system for shipment to customer by packaging equipment according to best practices
• Minor aspect of position (< 5% of work time): Participate in repair, modification or replacement of defective customer equipment by visiting local shipyards.
• Ensure a good working environment through active and constructive participation the company’s QHSE (Quality, Heath, Safety, Environment) policies.

Requirements/Skills:

• Degree from a technical or trade school is preferred
• Basic electrical theory / understanding
• CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) reading and interpretation
• Adherence to company QHSE policies
• Prior experience with electrical assembly construction and wiring is a plus
• Prior Networking configuration is a plus
• Prior Computer Configuration (operation system installation) is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Must meet basic health requirements set forth in company policies that mirror common OSHA workplace physical requirements of the job being performed.
