This position will partner closely with the Manager, Business Communications and other members of the broader Communications team to ensure accurate/timely communication flow and publication of messaging, including developing, producing, writing and editing a wide range of materials and content for Wendy’s franchise, Company and external audiences, and supporting the planning and execution of System engagement activities/meetings.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Manager, Business Communications, members of the broader Communications team and cross-functional business partners to coordinate and distribute content across internal/external communication channels including the Company intranet, email and LinkedIn. Oversee and update intranet content to ensure it remains timely and informative. Oversee the editorial calendar, including the process/workflow for managing requests from internal stakeholders.
  • Support the planning and execution of System engagement activities/meetings, including coordination and development of communications such as invitations, sign up surveys and presentations. Work with the Manager, Digital Media & Event Communications to coordinate video content, including scheduling and conducting interviews with Wendy’s executives, employees and franchisees for a variety of purposes.
  • Partner closely with the U.S. & International Communications teams to create a wide range of materials and content targeted to Wendy’s global network of 300+ franchisees, their employees and Wendy’s Company employees. Support the creation and delivery of content for executive speakers, breakout sessions and special events for Wendy’s Annual Franchise Convention. Serve as a key team member throughout all phases of planning, including on-site support at the meeting destination.
  • Support communication workstreams that align with Wendy’s Good Done Right platform, including Wendy’s Community Giving Program. Work with the Sr. Manager, International Communications & Corporate Reputation to create communications for the Community Giving Program annual kick-off, internal and external winner announcements/PR and coordinate grant recipients donations. Partner with Manager, Business Communications and other Communication team members to compile information and imagery for the Community & Workplace sections of the Company’s annual CSR Report.
Minimum Wage: USD $23.55/Hr. Maximum Wage: USD $38.94/Hr. Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, journalism, public relations or related field.
  • Experience

    • One to five years of communications experience with strong writing and editing, and project management ability.
    • Ability to manage and coordinate complex projects independently, as part of a cross-functional team.
    • Understanding of internal and external digital communication and social collaboration channels, trends and applications.
    • Experience planning and executing meetings and events.
  • Knowledge and Skills

    • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint.
    • Proven ability to anticipate and solve problems.
    • Articulate, creative, highly organized and committed to excellence.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality. (Required)
    • Passion for teamwork and ability to develop self and others.
    • Experience in other disciplines such as journalism, brand PR, external communications, and/or political campaign communication experience a plus.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
