Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cryogenic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of cryogenic systems within a manufacturing facility. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems, welding, and fabrication techniques, as well as the ability to work with various diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. The Cryogenic Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of cryogenic equipment.

Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair cryogenic systems and associated equipment.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks to create or modify components as needed.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of cryogenic systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Collaborate with industrial electricians and mechanics to resolve complex system issues.
- Assist in the design and implementation of improvements to existing cryogenic processes.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with industry regulations and safety protocols.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or similar environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certification or training in industrial mechanics or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 4x10
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Electrical experience: 1 year (Required)
  • Hydraulics: 1 year (Required)
  • HVAC: 1 year (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • South Salt Lake, UT 84119: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Required)
