GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The purpose of this position is to support the Agency’s needs by providing responsibility for general cleaning and care of CRT Facilities.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification.   • Sweeps/vacuums floor and stairs daily.
  • Removes trash to designated receptacles and wash trash cans as needed.
  • Dust furniture as needed.
  • Disinfects toilet bowls, washbasins, drinking fountains, countertops etc. as needed.
  • Keeps soap, paper towel, sanitizer and toilet tissue dispensers filled.
  • Clean and disinfect the elevator as needed.
  • Reports all damages to Supervisor.
  • Mops, waxes/ polishes and disinfects floors weekly or as needed.
  • Wash windowsills, spot clean walls, wipe down stair railings, cabinets, lobby chairs, microwave, vending machines, coffee machine and other surfaces, as needed.
  • Completes required checklists and paperwork.
  • Remove/pick up trash and garbage from the outside of the property as needed.
  • Remove snow and ice from walkways and applies sand as need.
  • Instate travel to different locations as needed

  • Attend and complete all mandatory trainings
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Education
: High school diploma or GED - Preferred

Minimum Years of Experience
: one (1) years of experience as a custodian - Required


Demonstrate skills in
: operation of cleaning tools - required

Knowledge of: custodial work

Driving Required

Active Driver License in good standing required upon hire and throughout employment

Physical Ability: Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 100 pounds).

Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate odors. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate depths. Most tasks require visual perception and discrimination.

Environmental Factors: Tasks are regularly performed with potential exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as strong odors, fumes, dusts, wetness, humidity, machinery, and toxic/poisonous agents.
