Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This customer facing position is the point for communications on part back orders for owners, operators and maintenance personnel requesting support for Textron Aviation aircraft. Communications will include, but are not limited to, technical parts questions, requests for additional order information, passing of interim backlog updates, and estimated ship dates. Works with other Textron Aviation organizations/functional areas to develop and maintain a relationship with current and prospective Customers and the orders they have placed with aftermarket.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

         Works with Company Service Centers, Authorized Service Centers, Authorized Sales Representatives and owner/operators to provide viable solutions to meet Customer requirements and produce total Customer satisfaction.

         Responsible for TAPD customer backlog book (ranging from $20M - $40M), including responsibility for:  reporting, administration, collaboration, communication (internal & external), as well as forecasting and general health of backlog.

         Receives customer communications and coordinates with cross functional teams to produce viable solutions in accordance with the Customer and company requirements.

         Involved in ensuring procurement specialist have all requisite information from the customer, so they can coordinate part procurement with the supplier of the part.

         Provides detailed spare part support solutions including, but not limited to:

o    Backlog & expediting information to customers as needed.

o    Coordinate with other functional areas as needed in procurement/expediting of time critical parts.

         Provides coordination for the Customer with other Textron Aviation processes including but not limited to, order fulfillment process.

         Research status of fabricated parts using SAP, in order to gain insight to potential hurdles with internally produced parts.

         Coordinates with aftermarket supply chain and expediting schedulers to determine updates that can be sent to our customers for their back ordered part needs.

o    Coordinates with supply chain buyers for purchased parts.

o    Coordinates with aftermarket schedulers for in house fabricated parts.

         May help facilitate technical parts support to Textron Aviation Customers.

         Perform other duties as required

EDUCATION:

         Requires high school education or equivalent plus general knowledge of aircraft parts and blueprint reading. 

         Bachelor's degree preferred.

         Ability to read, understand and analyze illustrated parts catalogs, overhaul manuals, and aircraft engine manuals. Must have a working knowledge of US export/import regulations and trade agreements.

EXPERIENCE:

Aircraft experience preferred
