As a Customer Service Clerk II, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting customers with inquiries and resolving issues in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Processing utility account information and payments with accuracy.
  • Collaborating with team members to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Providing support for community outreach programs and initiatives.
  • Reviewing and analyzing customer accounts including meter readings, water consumption, billing details and adjustments.

Required Qualifications
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Requires high school diploma or GED and any combination of education and experience equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education in bookkeeping or a closely related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this position requires a minimum of six months of related, full-time equivalent experience.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: None.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous Public Utilities customer service experience.
