About our Company: Innovative Surface Solutions specializes in effective, environmentally safer solutions for road safety and maintenance, industrial applications and agriculture. For more than 30 years the company has introduced fresh thinking, innovative technology and new processes to enhance its products and ensure its customers have access to the most effective solutions. The company’s supply and service is built around having the largest liquid distribution network in the US northeast and eastern Canada. The company operates a major terminal on a 53 acre property along the Hudson near Albany, NY with a liquid storage capacity of 38 million gallons and a 30,000 square foot warehouse for dry storage. The property boasts a deep water dock capable of handling ocean vessels year round and has a rail siding with capacity for 7 cars. Reporting to the VP Planning & Development–this position is responsible for supporting the many sales functions of the company as well as administrative support for the Glenmont Terminal.  Manages all order entry for the US & Canadian office and assists the territory managers in building their business within their areas by supplying outbound calling, customer research, supplying sales reports and assisting in supporting documentation.  This role will be responsible for the updating of the CRM system. Courteously and promptly resolves customer service issues, communication and documentation in adherence to company policy and procedures. The CSR is an integral part of supporting the Territory managers and the Sales management in all aspects of client acquisition, customer service, and issue resolutions. The CSR will also act work as an assistant to the Marketing team in the creation and management of Marketing materials and Marketing initiatives. The CSR also is responsible for some office administration duties such as basic office supplies, mail, and parcel shipping, and vendor management.     Responsibilities: * Provide sales and service support for customers via telephone, email and fax * Receive orders by email, phone, fax, and mail and process in timely manner; * Track all open Purchase Orders and communicate with Territory Managers when they are depleted * Work to maximize orders through up-selling on volume or value products where possible * Enter the majority of orders into the ERP order system and verifies open orders in ERP - contacts customers, and communicates order cancellation to billing and  logistics staff * Work with Credit Department on customer issues ( i.e. order release from exceptions, billing inquires, and special requests) * Work to maximize the orders through up selling on volume or value products where possible; * Coordinate on-boarding of new customers and required documentation; * Provide sales and service support for our customers and  Territory Managers * Support TM’s with CRM system management and updating- be the resident expert for user guidance * Respond to inquiries regarding pricing, products, delivery, outreach programs and customer service opportunities; * Participate in all sales team activities and assist in organization  including meetings, functions, and events * Oversee Marketing material inventory and Trade Show Booth components * Assist with marketing presentation documents and blasts * Assist in creation of Social media content and responsible for timely and accurate postings * Member of the terminal Safety team as Sales liaison * Other administrative duties as required Education & Experience: * Post-secondary education and/or related business experience * 2 years previous CSR experience preferred * Previous experience working in Sales preferably in customer service or sales marketing. * Intermediate level Microsoft Office (especially Excel) * Strong communication skills and problem solving ability * CRM Experience an asset.
