Required Education & Experience

• High School Diploma
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• A successful candidate must obtain property & casualty insurance licenses within agreed time of hiring offer (30 Days) & life license (90 days from original hire date).
• License cost is reimbursed after 6 months of employment.
• A candidate does not officially start until they are licensed.

Primary Job Functions &Activities:

· Service Related: The Primary role of the service, is to provide an excellent customer experience for new and existing customers. Here are a few of those activities:

• Provides personalized, professional customer service experiences through building trust and developing strong customer relationships.
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding coverages, billing, claims or products by following established agency processes and procedures.
• Drives customer satisfaction by following the American Star best practices: Personal Insurance Review, rate revision notification and claims process.
• Processes changes to existing accounts and policies
• Assists customers with claims by directing them to the appropriate Claims Department contacts and resources. Follows up to ensure customer needs are addressed.

· Sales Related: While the primary role is service, the Agency Service Rep will assist with a portion of sales related work.

• Participates in reviews of existing coverages and may advise customers regarding policy options.
• Estimates and quotes policy premiums complying with underwriting guidelines.
• Identifies cross-selling opportunities during customer interactions and takes appropriate action.
• Contacts appropriate business partners for guidance when needed.

Career Paths: There are two potential career paths associated with this position if the performance of the applicant merited progression over time:

1. Service Manager: This person would help build a service team and be responsible for team service goals.

2. Agency Operations Manager: Brock DeVries Agency will expand to other areas of the State of Minnesota. If you’d like to be an operations manager of a multiple offices responsible to lead a team of service managers, you could be an Agency Operations Manager.
