Job Description

The Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative (CSISR) is responsible for all aspects of proactively assisting our valued customers with ordering needs. This includes day to day service requests, inside sales, order entry and management, reporting and data, customer profitability and overall growth of Sierra. The CSR also plays a key role in the development of strong relationships with customers as well with internal departments within Sierra Aluminum. Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deal directly with customers through a variety of communication methods to always ensure their confidence in the company, providing status, accurate order tracking and feedback with satisfaction and resolve.
  • Accurately and expediently enter, track and manage orders for assigned customer base.
  • Provide customers and sales reps with information to assist with the management of accounts, including pricing and lists, order history, order updates, expedites, inventory reporting, change order requests etc.
  • Provide back-up coverage for other CSR team members when needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments ensuring the accurate processing of orders.
  • Assist company efforts with building and retaining equity with qualified, high volume, profitable, repetitive, customers.
  • Set and achieve goals and objectives to align with company production capabilities.
  • Prove Inside Sales activities such as quoting, co-account development and general facilitation of sales efforts.
  • Actively participate in the onboarding and selling of new key accounts
  • Aid outside sales through joint calls, plant tours, account management, reporting and account development.
  • Document and be accountable for all aspects of customer service activities.
  • Establish effective relationships and collaborations with Customers, Sales, Engineering, Q.C. Production, Accounting, and HR etc.
  • Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust strategies.
  • Proactively identify changes in industry technology and competitive pressures to assist with the development and modification of strategies and tactics accordingly.
  • Participate in preparing quarterly and annual rolling booking forecasts.
  • Initiate Non-Conforming Material Documentation (NCMD) and manage resolution in collaboration with Account Manager, Customer and QC.
  • Assist with reviewing external rejections from customers with Sales, Production and Engineering to resolve problem dies and/or accounts.
  • Assist and facilitate base and adder pricing for all accounts.
  • Facilitate quoting of BQO (By Quote Only) accounts
  • Coordinate pricing documentation with Accounting, Sales and Customer Service.
  • Assist with entering and/or reviewing customer pre-sale forms with Account Managers.
  • Assist with data entry changes to customer files.
  • Work with credit on new accounts, increase of credit terms on existing accounts and assist in collections with the Sales and Credit Manager.
  • Prepare, write and document all quotations, RMA’s, presales and general correspondence.
  • Act as the hub for communication between the customer or prospect and other departments such as Sales, Production, Engineering QC and Credit.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Secondary education preferred.
  • 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Organizational and collaborative skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have a good working knowledge of with Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have knowledge of office administration procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in data entry, composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisor assistance as appropriate.
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Demands:

  • Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk.
  • Maximum unassisted lift 35 lbs. average lift less than 10 lbs.
  • Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor and calculator.
  • Requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone.

Work Environment:

  • Inside average office environment.
  • Average office noise levels.
  • No personal protective equipment required unless on the manufacturing floor

The base pay range for this position is $23.56 - $32.34 . If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
