This position is responsible for providing customer service and technical support while on the road 50% and in the office 50%. This position is also responsible for initiating and/or implementing corrective action as needed to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction are maintained by performing the following duties.

Office responsibilities:

§ Responsible for phone, email & remote support of customers when in the office. Including service call logging, call documentation, completion, and follow-up with customers.

§ Responsible for helping ACI technician field staff when onsite troubleshooting issues.

§ Responsible for understanding customer warranties and support level contracts.

§ Responsible for collaboration with other internal ACI departments to provide the most efficient technical support to customers.

§ Responsible for purchasing, programming and setting up devices for replacement at facilities.

§ Responsible for staying current on system certifications and continuing education.

§ Responsible for other duties as assigned by Director of Customer Service and Accurate Controls.

Travel/onsite responsibilities:

§ Responsible for traveling to customer facilities as needed. May require short notice travel, per Director of Customer Service discretion.

§ Responsible for troubleshooting onsite technical issues. These include computer issues, software issues and low voltage wiring issues.

§ Responsible for filling out documentation onsite and sending in field reports.

§ Responsible for night and weekend on-call customer support services after probationary period. This on-call requirement is on a rotation basis and shared between other service technicians.

§ Responsible for other duties as assigned by Director of Customer Service and Accurate Controls.

Job Qualifications

· Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and one to three years related experience and/or training.

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. The ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

· To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing Software (Word); Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Database Software (Access); Development Software; Internet Software; Electronic Mail Software (Outlook);
