Job Description

Job Description: Systems Technology & Research, Inc. is currently seeking a Records Management/Data Manager in the Huntsville, AL area to support a PEO Aviation Project Office. Candidate will be responsible for the implementation of all required data protections necessary to ensure secure archival and distribution of historical, current and future program documentation. Candidate should be a highly motivated and responsive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support in developing and implementing a data management plan that prioritizes data collection, structuring/formatting, entry, validation, editing, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal records management statutes and regulations and to assess the effectiveness of established records management policies and procedures.
  • Provide oversight for Project Office records management operations, develop regulations, guidance, and training.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with the specifications outlined in the data management plan.
  • Provide document scanning (unclassified and classified). Determine priorities, perform local backups, and load scanned documents to mass storage system.
  • Collect, catalog, integrate, analyze and visualize data from disparate source systems to support data sharing across the Project Office, as well as other stakeholders.
  • Serve as Project Office primary representative for the PEO Records Management IPT.
  • Manage and organize large data sets, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, data analysis techniques, and Army-specific data systems.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD data policies and procedures in all data-related activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement data-driven solutions for the Project Office Demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills by identifying data-related issues and proposing effective solutions.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree with 5+ years relevant data management experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain.
  • Experience with military or defense data, Army records management regulations, Army-specific data systems and platforms, as well as understanding of DoD data policies and procedures, is highly advantageous for this role.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like MS SharePoint, Power BI, Laserfiche, TopVue, and the Army's Records Information Management System (ARIMS).
  • Experience with AR-25-400-2 and AR-25-1.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other data professionals, military personnel, and stakeholders.
  • Motivated self-starter who can work both independently and in a collaborative team environment, often with minimal guidance and within rigid timelines.
