Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their social, emotional, and intellectual development. If you have a love for working with children and are committed to their growth and well-being, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a Long-Term employee; must be available during summers. We are seeking a fun-loving, energetic individual, who enjoys working specifically with children 6 weeks to 5 years of age and school age children when school is not in session.
Hours may vary, approximately 7:45 - 4:14.
Attending to children, perform a variety of tasks, such as dressing, feeding, changing, lesson planning and overseeing play, as well as plan and carry out activities.
Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
- Monitor and supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
- Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and cleaning up
- Collaborate with other teachers to plan and coordinate classroom activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving, classroom management, or childhood development is preferred
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus
- CPR and First Aid certification is required (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedule
-Must be 18 or older
-Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
-Maintain a safe play environment.
-Dress children, change diapers and assist with potty training.
-Observe and monitor children's play activities and role model positive behavior.
-Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
-Sanitize toys and play equipment as well as disinfect and clean the day care center
-Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
