The AIE Dealer Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in expanding and enhancing our network of Honda, Kubota, and Volvo Penta engine service dealers. With over 700 dealer locations across our territory, the specialist is responsible for prospecting, setting up, and supporting new dealer locations. This role involves onboarding and training dealer personnel to ensure they are proficient in AIE's products and processes. The ideal candidate will be adept at building strong relationships and providing ongoing support to ensure quality customer service and dealer self-sufficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect potential new dealer locations within the designated territory.
- Set up new dealer locations and ensure they meet AIE's standards and requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for parts, sales, and service departments at dealer locations.
- Ensure dealer personnel are proficient in using AIE's systems and processes.
- Develop training materials and programs to facilitate ongoing dealer education.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealer personnel to foster loyalty and ensure effective communication.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for dealers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Coordinate support between AIE and dealer locations to ensure seamless operations and quality customer service.
- Work closely with internal departments to address dealer needs and provide timely solutions.
- Travel to dealer locations approximately 50% of the time to conduct training, provide support, and strengthen relationships.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage dealer information, track progress, and maintain detailed records of interactions and activities.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for dealer development.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance dealer development strategies.
- Provide feedback to management on ways to improve the dealer development process.
Requirements:
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in CRM tools and other business development software.
- Strong understanding of the automotive or machinery industry, particularly in relation to Honda, Kubota, and Volvo Penta products
- Excellent training and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Experience in developing and implementing training programs.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and make informed business decisions.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop creative solutions to challenges.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time to visit dealer locations within the territory.
