**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dynamic Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various dental procedures, maintain patient records, and ensure a smooth patient experience.

**Duties:**

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations

- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs

- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques

- Take and record medical histories and vital signs of patients

- Educate patients on proper oral healthcare

- Manage medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

- Perform dental imaging and assist with dental coding on a route sheet

- Utilize practice management software (iDental) for patient scheduling and record-keeping

**Qualifications:**

- Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program is not required but preferred

- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and infection control practices; ICE certification ideal

- Proficiency in dental radiographs, DANB x-ray certification ideal

- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures

- Polished communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with a small team

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

• Dental office: 1 year (Preferred)
