The Opportunity: We are seeking a friendly and efficient Dietary Aide/Server to join our team. As a Dietary Aide/Server, you will play a vital role in our community, providing nutritious meals, engaging with residents, and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and comfortable. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy building relationships with seniors and are passionate about delivering high-quality service.

What You’ll Do:

Customer Service:

• Deliver exceptional customer service, engaging with residents and coworkers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Maintain a heightened awareness of food allergies and preferences, ensuring that each resident receives meals tailored to their dietary needs.
• Efficiently serve meals, food, and drinks to residents and their guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
• Clean and reset dining areas, food service areas, and resident rooms as needed to maintain a clean and inviting environment.

Communication:

• Engage with residents and other community members with warmth, respect, and professionalism.
• Keep a working knowledge of all menu items, including preparation methods, ingredients, and presentation.
• Communicate resident dining needs, food preferences, orders, and special requests to the kitchen team clearly and accurately.
• Utilize technology, such as a Point of Sale system, to facilitate clear communication between residents and the kitchen staff.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience & Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a server/waiter or in a similar food service environment.
• Working knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures in a food service setting.

Skills & Abilities:

• Proven ability to take initiative, especially concerning safety and sanitation.
• Compassionate nature with a strong desire to provide comfort and care to residents.
• Excellent communication skills and a bright, personable demeanor.
