Job Description

The Salvation Army Midland Division Camp Mihaska located in Bourbon, Missouri, is looking for a Dining/Dish Room Attendant.This position is expected to advance and support the Mission of The Salvation Army. This position performs a variety of dining room and kitchen duties as directed.

This position is a part-time, 20 hour a week position that pay $14.00 per hour!

1466 Hwy "N", Bourbon, Missouri

Essential Functions

  • Set up and prepare the dining room prior to each meal.
  • Serve meals efficiently and courteously.
  • Wash tables, sweep and mop the floor after each meal as assigned
  • Operate in dish room and trash removal as assigned.
  • Assist in the kitchen as assigned.
  • Report problems with staff and campers to the lead cook.
  • Adhere to and enforce camp policies and procedures.
  • Be present at all meetings and programs unless otherwise directed.
  • Work all camp rec rotations as assigned.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards campers and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Comply with The Salvation Army Safe From Harm guidelines.

Education and Experience

  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and self-starter able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Understand and support the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army Camp program.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of participating in camp activities.
  • Frequently lifts 25 pounds, occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and moves 50 or more pounds using dolly/cart/truck.
  • Some work will be outdoors, and it will be hot in the summer.
