Job Description

Unique Position (High Behavioral)

The Residential Manager will be scheduled to work 24 hour shifts in rotation with 2 other Residential Managers. (See example of rotation below)

  • Rotating schedule equates to working 9 - 10 days a month for a full time salary.
  • Monday - Friday shifts include PAID on call hours from 8am to 3:30pm

ROTATION OF SHIFTS AS FOLLOWS:

Week 1: Monday 8am to Wednesday 8am

Off 9 days

Week 2: Friday 8am to Monday 8am

Off 2 days

Week 3: Wednesday 8am to Friday 8am

Off 3 days

REPEAT

The Residential Manager will be working directly with a Person who experiences High Behavior Support needs. Candidates with experience working with People who experience Dual Diagnosis of Mental Health Challenges and Intellectual Disabilities will be prioritized.

The Residential Manager works with Agency Administrators, Team Members, and Persons in Services to ensure quality support to each person in making day-to-day choices that lead to greater independence and to participate in and contribute to community life. The Residential Manager ensures high quality living environments, habilitation and support are provided to people receiving residential services through leadership, training, coaching, oversight, and quality assurance of work.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Ability to follow Safety Plans as written and collaborate with interdisciplinary team when adjustments might be needed.
  • Excellent written communication skills for completing daily data and behavioral incident narratives and reports.
  • Experience with using Crisis Intervention Skills including Relational, Conceptual and Physical.
  • Familiar with Behavior Support plans, including how to implement and provide feedback for adjustments.
  • Ability to meet deadlines for data collection, incident reports, financial documentation, safety drills, including participating in monthly staff meetings.
  • Reliable vehicle for transporting Person Supported to various community commitments.
  • Collaborate with Administrators to create plans, drop off any mail or receipts, pick up checks or other needed items.
  • Accepts responsibility for and oversees the provision of supports and services that promote healthy living and lifestyles for the Person Supported.
  • Participates in ongoing training and development.
  • Firm understanding of Person Centered Services, Rights Restrictions and the priority of Supporting People in directing their own lives.
  • Coachable, flexible, and able to both receive and provide constructive feedback.
  • Team player who understands the importance of uplifting and supporting one another.
  • Advanced MANDT training preferred
