As the Director of ACH Operations, you will take charge of managing the movement of funds through ACH transactions, wire transfers, and settlement activities. This critical leadership role ensures the smooth and secure processing of all payment transactions while ensuring compliance with NACHA rules and banking regulations. You will spearhead process improvements, foster operational excellence, and help scale our growing fintech operation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and oversee ACH operations, including payment processing, file movement, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with all NACHA, banking, and industry standards for secure and timely transactions.
  • Collaborate with the Reconciliation, Compliance, Risk, and IT teams to resolve issues and drive efficiency.
  • Manage funds flow processes for new and existing programs, including system setup, bank account management, and program changes.
  • Mentor and guide your team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Automate manual processes, implement cutting-edge technologies, and stay ahead of industry trends to optimize payment operations.
  • Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on improving ACH and settlement operations to support company growth.

What You Bring:

  • Extensive experience in ACH operations, wire transfers, and settlement processes, with a deep understanding of NACHA rules and payment regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive operational improvements, and manage risk within payment systems.
  • Familiarity with automated payment platforms and settlement systems (experience with FIS ACHPS and Jack Henry is a plus).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and with external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years in ACH operations or payment settlements and 3+ years in a leadership role.
