JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Director at VSC reports to the Chairman & CEO and is responsible for all HR aspects, including talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, performance management, HRIS, compensation and benefits, and compliance. The Director will assist in shaping the overall HR strategic direction and planning and is accountable for managing daily HR operations. Additionally, the Director is responsible for developing and ensuring effective implementation of plans, systems, policies, and processes across all HR areas to support the organization’s business strategy, continuous improvement, and organizational development aligned with VSC’s mission, vision, and values, as well as its goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide direction and oversight to the Human Resources Team and leadership for the department.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures, implements process improvement, as well as workflows to support maximum efficiencies and a positive employee experience.
  • Ensures compliance with all aspects of District of Columbia and Maryland employment laws, regulatory compliance, and applicable laws governed by benefits and compensation.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with staff members.
  • Maintain data integrity through conscientious use of relevant tools and employing a system of checks and balances.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills necessary to multi-task, meet deadlines, and re-prioritize as needed.
  • Participate in organizational quality and performance improvement activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • HRIS: 5 years (Required)
  • Conflict management: 5 years (Required)
  • Human resources: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • PHR or SPHR, SHRM-SCP certification (Required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Washington, DC 20003 (Required)
