Job Description

Duties include

CARRY CALENDAR AT ALL TIMES

ORGANIZED, INDEPENDENT

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGEABLE

FAMILIAR WITH GOOGLE CALENDAR

Operates assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner

Assisting Residents in and out of the vehicle

Maintains defensive driving

Provides a communication link between Residents, third party medical staff and Community staff

Assists passengers, including handicapped, in and out of the vehicle; and securement devices as needed

Reads and interprets maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for Residents, and reads and interprets road signs in English

Presents safety briefing and assist to Residents prior to each trip departure, ie seat belt use Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside

Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on appointment scheduling, Resident transportation,

vehicle maintenance needs, fuel purchases, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from management

Fuels the assigned vehicle(s);

Coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with management to minimize service interruptions;

Responds immediately to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers, and rendering First Aid until emergency personnel arrive;

Provides Residents with comfort counseling;

Serves as a positive overseer and fosters a sense of safety while providing transportation service.

Providing other services as requested by management when not engaged in transportation service

Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle safely and appropriately, including ability to read and interpret road signs in English, ability to read, understand, and adhere to the rules and regulations of the Federal Transit Administration and United States Department of Transportation; Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing:

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry helpful

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from Residents, Responsible parties,

Where only limited standardization exists.

Medical Professionals, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written and verbal form.

Ability to prevent and solve personnel problems, issues, concerns with reason and objectivity

Education/Experience

This position requires

A high school diploma or equivalent certificate

must be a minimum of 21 years of age

possess and maintain a safe driving record

A valid Bt driver's license

A valid CPR Certification card

Ability to follow regulations for continuing education requirements to maintain license(s)

Knowledge and experience in Memory Care helpful

BCI Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, provided the age and safe driving record requirements are met
