**Great opportunity for an Electrician that is looking to get off of their tools.**

 

The Technical Training Consultant is responsible for the effective implementation and delivery of Learning & Development (L&D) programs focused on technical and trade-related training. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of standard practices within the electrical and/or specialty systems contractor field.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of an apprenticeship program, or an Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: A strong technical background with at least 5 years of related experience in the electrical, specialty systems, or a related trade, along with 1 to 2 years of facilitation experience.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25%.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Facilitation: Lead and facilitate electrical apprenticeship and other trade-related training sessions effectively.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with the Apprenticeship Team to research, recommend, develop, pilot, and implement new technical and trade-related training programs.
  • Curriculum Design: Design and develop technical and trade-related curricula that meet organizational needs and standards.
  • On-Site Coaching: Provide jobsite coaching and development for employees, particularly in response to audits or to support challenging or new projects.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with operational leaders to foster open communication and trust.
  • Apprenticeship Support: Assist the Apprenticeship Coordinator in managing apprenticeship programs as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work with the L&D team and subject-matter experts to continually enhance the content, activities, and delivery methods of L&D programs.
  • Knowledge Expansion: Actively seek opportunities to increase knowledge and expertise in Learning & Development practices.
  • Professional Engagement: Participate in professional and trade-related organizations to stay current with industry trends and standards.
  • Cultural and Professional Standards: Embrace and model the company’s culture and values, demonstrating professionalism and serving as a role model for trainees.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Exhibit approachability, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to effectively influence others.
