N/A JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for maintaining efficient product flow through the electronic sorting equipment, ensuring proper sorting of the product. This position monitors/adjusts electronic sorting equipment, ensuring that production standards are met. RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Makes various adjustments to Electronic Sorting Machines to ensure efficient operation and quality requirements are met.
- Conduct tests as required by each process and enter data into computer.
- Operates and adjusts production equipment keeping constantly alert to operating functions ensuring that production standards are met.
- Perform daily setup of equipment.
- Frequently clean equipment and surrounding areas as necessary for efficient operation.
- May operate various types of ESM Machines. Monitors bin levels. Relieves MPL bin tenders during breaks and lunches.
- Contribute within a team environment leading to production improvements.
- Must understand and adhere to Blue Diamond HACCP process and auditing, Good Manufacturing procedures (GMPs) and safety practices.
- Required to perform other tasks as assigned by management, such as cross training other employees.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum level of education required.
- High School Diploma or GED
Minimum number of year(s) of experience required in addition to education plus type(s) of functional experience.
- 1-year previous machine operating experience.
Other required type(s) of functional experience (e.g., Production/Operations, Accounting, Forklift Operator, Inventory Control, etc.)
- Position requires knowledge of machine operation to keep machinery and equipment operating.
- Works under general supervision and receives assignments from supervisor, lead operator and line operators.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations, maintenance instructions and work schedules.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Requires the ability to identify problems and assist in problem solving.

On shift employee is constantly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking, and lifting less than 10 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.
