The Event Bartender will be responsible for demonstrating exceptional bar and guest service during an event. Ensuring that setup, preparation, execution, and clean-up of bar service are completed in a timely and organized fashion and with a positive attitude. Having effective verbal communication skills is a must, as the Event Bartender will be interacting with team members and guests during all shifts.

In this role, the Event Bartender must be prepared to jump in to do whatever is needed to ensure a successful guest experience. Having the ability to think and act quickly under pressure will enable the Bartending Team to effectively and calmly handle any issue that arises, ensuring that bar and guest service is not disrupted.

Hours range from 8-25 per week based upon Event Schedule. This role is primarily weekends, weekend and holiday availability mandatory. This position will have an hourly wage of $14 per hour plus tips.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and follow directions on the Bar Notes and Bar Procedures to set bar accordingly.
• Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for guests including beer, wine, cocktails, signature drinks etc.
• Interacting with guests, taking orders and serving drinks.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Recognizes the signs of over intoxication and refuses service when necessary.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area, and complete post-event checklist.
• Promptly report repair and maintenance needs.
• Will be required to stand, walk and use hands to handle equipment.
• Able to work outside in varying weather conditions.
• Maintains a friendly, dependable and reliable demeanor towards guests, staff and vendors.
• Keeps a professional appearance at all times.
• Provides additional assistance as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• All Bartenders must be a minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Bartender required.
• TIPS Certification Preferred.
• Technologically capable of running tabs for on-consumption and cash bar via iPad and Square.
• A team-player, willing to work with and support others.
• Able to perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Keen attention to detail with a focus on quality, service and professionalism.
• Able to lift 50 pounds independently and often.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts. This role is primarily weekends, and occasionally events during the week.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
