Job Description

Cox Communications is hiring a Financial Analyst I. The Financial Analyst I role is critical to ensure excellent client support and achieve the team's goals. This role will develop financial models to support the PD&M (Product Development & Management) department's key video and internet initiatives (Organic Growth, Network build and investments, New product launches, video legacy platform retirement, device migrations, etc.), and gain exposure to large strategic and development initiatives that help build the future roadmap of Cox products. The candidate will work cross-functionally throughout the organization to ensure alignment on key cost and revenue drivers. The role will provide a great opportunity to build business cases, develop strategic thinking, and collaborate within both Finance and operations departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Support Product's long term strategic initiatives and road maps.
  • Assist with identifying revenue opportunities and cost drivers as it relates to development of new video products, or financial improvement of existing product through lifecycle management.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain financial models in coordination with the product team as well as boundary partners across Business Operation Finance
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses at multiple levels of complexity which may include scenario planning, risk assessments and new opportunities in the business.
  • Work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders for delivery of analyses and projects.
  • Present recommendations to internal customers and Sr. leaders, analyze and review data, resolve questions or problems, and may implement solutions.
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate at most levels of the organization and work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track and report key financial initiatives on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Take part in budget/forecast process.


QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferably with a focus on strategy, with one year of relevant work experience in finance or business operations. A non-degreed candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Prior exposure supporting data and video products, profitability analysis of self-install, CPE device strategies or operational process improvement project strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and the ability to work with ambiguity
  • Advanced MS Excel skills


USD 53,200.00 - 79,800.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $53,200.00 - $79,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
