Job Summary

Under general supervision, protects the financial standing of the hospital by making financial arrangements for patients without insurance or with inadequate insurance coverage. Collects required deposits from patients and guardians. Assists patients in obtaining financial sponsorship from outside agencies and charitable programs when financial need is indicated. Coordinates acceptable payment plans with Patient Accounting and Physician Billing.

Education:

• No High School Diploma and/or No GED required

Work Experience:

• Typically, two years in a hospital/medical office setting preferred
• Relevant experience in a customer-service business, with the ability to relate to a diverse patient population.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.48 - $30.41 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
