Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with clients to determine their security needs and recommend appropriate alarm systems
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding alarm system operation
- Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in alarm system technology
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Alarm Technician or related field
- Proficient in low voltage electrical work and wiring techniques
- Strong knowledge of alarm system schematics and diagrams
- Experience with alarm system sales and customer service
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations
- CAD (Computer-Aided Design) experience is a plus
- Ability to detect and resolve issues in alarm systems quickly and efficiently
- Prior experience in fire alarm sales or as a fire alarm service technician is highly desirable
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated on industry standards
