Thelma’s is a frozen novelty manufacturer headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. Launched in 2012, Thelma's ice cream sandwiches and other frozen novelties produced by Thelma's can be found in retailers nationwide.

Thelma’s Core Values:

We Are Kind & Authentic

It’s simple. Be kind. Be real. If you start there, everything else works itself out. Thelma’s got its start with a real story, a few ice cream sandwiches, and a pushcart. Those humble beginnings will never be forgotten and continue to inspire everything we do. We take pride in our work but also do good without the expectation of something in return. We assume the good in others and everyone is welcome at the Thelma’s table. After all, what can go wrong when a delicious ice cream sandwich is shared among friends?

We Are Resourceful

Turns out there isn’t a guidebook for mastering the art of sweet treats. New challenges pop up everyday and at Thelma’s, we just figure it out. We are scrappy, use the tools we have, or figure out new ones. We always take time to reflect on past solutions so we can make them even better in the future. We are always thinking outside the cookie jar.

No One Is Above The Work

You’re it. If something needs done, just go ahead and do it. Sure, we are all on the team because we have unique skills that set us apart from one another. Tap in an expert or ask for help where it makes sense, but feel empowered to make the decision either way. We hold ourselves and each other accountable for always doing the right thing.

We Keep Things In Perspective

We believe sweet treats can unite even the most unlikely of friends. But at the end of the day, we’re talking about cookies and ice cream. We can’t take ourselves too seriously. Having fun keeps us grounded and we believe laughter can build bridges.

Do That Little Extra

Surprise and delight is the name of the game at Thelma’s. Always take the time to ask yourself if there is a little something extra you could do to bring a smile to someone’s face or make their day just a little easier. Go ahead, do it. We support you!
