Job description
We are looking for a very responsible person to work as a Front Desk Agent at the Red Lion Hotel Monterey.
We would like someone who is looking for a long term position in the hospitality field.
Training hours could be 5 days a week for the first 2 weeks. Flexibility during that time frame is a must.
(Weekends, holidays, flexibility and DEPENDABILITY is an absolute must.)
Positions Overview:
Need to develop thorough knowledge of the property and all of its facilities and services, and must perform a combination of the following duties.
General Responsibilities/Duties:
* Must have very good computer skills!
* Must be quick on your feet and efficient!
* Needs to learn all Front Desk procedures and functions at the hotel.
* Report reconciliation of the day's business activity.
* Answer all guest calls throughout the night and help them with their needs.
* Make, modify, confirm or cancel reservations. Front desk agents are to assist guests when they register.
* Route calls to guests, departments and/or offices; take messages as needed.
*Complete all wake-up call procedures.
* Communicate with other hotel departments to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
* Adhere to established hotel policies and procedures.
* Maintain all files, portfolios and records.
* Be knowledgeable about room rates, reservation/cancellation procedures.
* Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
* Respond to and fulfill all guest requests.
Past customer service experience is a plus.
