Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front End Associate. As a Front End Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front end area.
Duties:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions and assist customers with product inquiries
- Assist with stock replenishment and maintaining a clean and organized front end area
- Provide assistance to customers with returns, exchanges, and refunds
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
Skills:
- Strong understanding of retail math for accurate cash handling
- Experience operating cash registers and POS systems
- Knowledge of electronics sales is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate in a bilingual setting is an asset
- Proven sales skills with the ability to upsell and cross-sell products
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
