Location:

Summary:

Laborer will preform plant maintenance, equipment operation, grounds and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain maintenance at plant sites, buildings, grounds and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain block equipment.
• Ensure production work is accurate, timely and consistent with work instructions/procedures.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks of manufacturing equipment.
• Operate forklift to transport manufactured items from production areas to warehouse as well as load and unload trucks in shipping areas as needed.
• Work on production line as required in manufacturing and packaging areas of facility. Possess ability to operate all plant production equipment.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction

Qualifications:

• Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a variety of roles.
• Communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic tool knowledge.
• Forklift preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
• Must be able to work in dusty and noisy environments

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds at times.
• Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
