General Summary
West Paces Ace Hardware has a gift department that is truly unique! It is over 40% of our business! The Gift Shop Inventory Specialist / Department Team Leader role is ideal for a passionate individual who is process oriented, good with computers, and enjoys helping customers locate the perfect décor need or gift. Previous gift shop, boutique, or upscale retail experience required. MUST be able to work at least one weekend day each weekend.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the Following:

Inventory:

• Receive incoming shipments in the system and reconcile actual product/packing lists against purchase orders
• Create SKUs in the system for new products and adjust existing SKUs for product changes
• Process backorders, cancelations, and price changes
• Reconcile discrepancies between invoices and receipts, interacting with vendors as needed
• Order assigned product categories following processes and procedures

Customer Service:.

• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
• Checkout transactions using Point of Sale technology
• Gift Wrap items as requested by customers
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.

Store Operations:

• Lead gift team members with daily task organization 
• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment
• Assist with merchandizing throughout the store
• Assist in daily cleaning, front facing, and straightening of product
• Participate in store meetings
• Be professional in appearance and actions
• Perform all other duties as assigned
