Description of Job

This position is responsible for ensuring that the grounds supervisor’s expectations for campus grounds maintenance and landscape services are being met or exceeded within budget and safety requirements; by providing on-going maintenance, landscaping, recycling and snow removal of all grounds areas on campus; to include tasks such as the application of pesticides, as needed and maintenance of the landscape beds, shrubs, ornamentals, flowers and other similar horticultural areas around campus, in coordination and oversight of the Grounds Supervisor. Work is performed exclusively outdoors.

This position is designated as essential, which means employees may be asked to report to work during emergencies such as inclement weather.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

One year of grounds care and maintenance, greenhouse, or plant nursery general labor work experience.
