Responsibilities
Maintain all turf areas around the property by spin trimming, mowing, spraying for weeds, and irrigating (dethatch and aerate lawns when required) - Maintain all flower beds and planters by watering and turning over pots when they become dead or witheredoMust remove/refresh mulch at season start up
- Order flowers annually and throughout the season as needed
- Maintain pathways by edging, cleaning up broken stone pieces and sweeping gravel
- Spray insect fog at designated areas to cut down on mosquito activity
- Maintain all landscape equipmentoBlade replacement/sharpeningoBasic servicing (oil change, cleaning of spark plugs/filters, & winterizing equipment)oOrganizing the storage of equipment
- Oversee the acquisition, splitting, storage and distribution of firewood
- Monitor all irrigation systems across ranch on a weekly basis
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with irrigation
- Shut down the entire irrigation system at end of the season
- Start up the irrigation system at the beginning of season
- Wrap and unwrap the trees in protective cages at the beginning and end of season
- Maintain ponds in core guest areas
- Maintain and revamp existing landscaping, as needed
- Snow removal across the property during the winter season
- Experience in maintenance, mechanics, machine operation or fleet is preferred
- Maintain a good working relationship and communication with Grounds Supervisor and crew
- Manage, assist and delegate tasks to the grounds crew on a daily basis
- Perform routine rounds across the property to ensure a high quality of upkeep
- Pay invoices in a timely manner and schedule staff accordingly

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Irrigation, maintenance, mechanics, machine operation or fleet is preferred, but not required
