We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Automotive Painter to lead our painting team and ensure the highest quality finish on all vehicles at our Young Chevrolet Body Shop in Layton, Utah. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive refinishing and a keen eye for detail. This department plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction, and we're dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all automotive painting operations (including preparation/painting and finishing)
  • Manage a team of painters/ providing guidance/ training and support
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet production schedules
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new painting techniques


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an automotive painter
  • with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques/materials and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
