Job Description

As the Head of Employer Brand & Internal Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance our organization's reputation as an employer of choice, both internally and externally. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and promote a compelling employer brand that attracts, engages, and retains top talent. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of employer branding, marketing, and talent acquisition. As a critical role for PetVet Care Centers growth, this role will report to the Chief People Officer and be part of the HR Leadership team.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive employer brand strategy aligned with the company's values, culture, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the organization's unique selling points as an employer and translate them into compelling employer brand messaging.
  • Be part of the launch of our brand-new EVP and brand.

Brand Promotion:

  • Create and manage campaigns to promote the employer brand through various channels, including social media, career websites, events, and other relevant platforms.
  • Monitor and respond to online employer brand presence, such as Glassdoor, ensuring a positive and authentic representation of the company.
  • Build a comprehensive social strategy based on the Veterinary Industry.

Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders:

  • Work closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, and other relevant departments to align employer brand initiatives with overall business and talent strategies.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on incorporating the employer brand into their respective functions.

Team Member Engagement and Recognition:

  • Develop programs and initiatives that foster a positive team member experience, contributing to workplace satisfaction and retention.
  • Showcase team member success stories and testimonials to strengthen the employer brand.

Talent Attraction:

  • Develop and execute recruitment marketing strategies to attract top talent, including the creation of engaging job descriptions, team member value propositions, and targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience.

Metrics and Analytics:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of employer brand initiatives.
  • Analyze data and feedback to continuously optimize and refine the employer brand strategy.

Communications

  • Build a communications strategy for PetVet in an authentic, brand relevant way.
  • Manage internal comms in conjunction with the CPO, Marketing and Operations Leadership team.
  • Serving as the point of contact for Public Relations and external affairs as needed.

Leadership

  • Oversee the internal communications team - including social media specialist, content writer, internal events, and the vendor partnerships supporting the employer brand strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in employer branding, marketing, or related roles, with a track record of successful brand development.
  • Proven experience in Veterinary or Healthcare a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, talent acquisition, and employee engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative and impactful employer brand campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and other relevant channels for employer branding.
