Job Description

Overview
With supervision, coordinate and provide Home Visiting services to families under the Family Services Plan (FSP) in accordance with the policies and practices of Tresco, laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations.

Responsibilities

1. Arrive on time and ready to work.

2. Present all paperwork required in an accurate and timely manner.

3. Ability to interact and maintain open communication with co-workers, other professionals, and all interested and parties in a professional manner.

4. Proficient in English oral and written communication skills.

5. Supervise, mentor and evaluate staff utilizing systems to promote performance, establish clear expectations, promote staff growth and development, provide constructive feedback, recognize success, correct undesirable work performance, focus on employee success and develop cohesive teamwork.

6. Organize own work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow-up on assigned projects in a self-directed manner with a minimum amount of supervision and direction.

7. Serve as a role model by exemplifying professional behavior while promoting Tresco’s Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Ethics.

8. Assur HIPAA policies and procedures are followed in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

9. Report suspicions of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or serious incidents as per policies and procedures.

10. Supervisors support home visitors to integrate and implement information from trainings to help build skill and competence.

11. Provide reflective supervision to each Home Visiting Specialist, individually at a minimum of two times per month.

12. Accompany home visitors on family visits (field supervision) a minimum of:

  • One time per year for home visiting staff with 1 or more years’ experience as a home visitor;
  • Twice a year for new home visitors with less than one year experience; and
  • As needed, in addition to the minimum requirements.

13. Serve as a liaison between Early Childhood Services and community organizations & referral sources.

14. Assist in determining child eligibility for services

15. Ensure appropriate and timely placement of children.

16. Assure timely and accurate development of FSP’s in conjunction with Home Visiting Team.

17. Establish, coordinate, and maintain community partnering, opportunities, processes, events and activities for department to engage in. Track staff participation

18. Coordinate promote, and participate in public relations and outreach activities designed to increase referrals and promote Tresco Home Visiting services.

19. Responsible for providing appropriate client data to be entered in the database

20. Assure compliance with accreditation and licensing standards. Supervision includes quality assurance for services provided, adherence to all ECECD requirements, data and case audits. In addition to supervision requirements listed above, administrative supervisors or a designated staff member, must have experience with data management systems.

21. Assure maintenance of children’s files in accordance with accreditation standards. Supervisor conducts regular and frequent review of program activities. At least 10% of the cases must be reviewed every month and 100% of the cases must have been reviewed by the end of the year. The procedures and practices include effective use of the data management system tools for self-monitoring at the case level and individual staff level, as well as at the program level

22. Establish customer service standards with staff that will promote quality services.

23. Attend all scheduled meetings.

24. Accept and implement special projects as assigned by supervisor.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED and at least 15 hours in higher education credits or experience in Home Visiting, Early Intervention or employment with an Early Childhood emphasis.
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: Social Work, Early Childhood Development, Marriage and Family Counseling, Infant Family Studies, or in a related field/degree plan preferred.

Licenses/Certifications. Valid driver’s license.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

1. Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding clients and employees of Tresco.

2. Familiar with and follow all policies and procedures Tresco.

3. Follow universal precautions and all work practice controls established by OSHA and Tresco’s Exposure Control Plan.

4. Participate in on going staff development.

5. Responsible for maintaining safe working environment.

6. Represent Tresco and all its services in a professional manner at all times in the community.

7. Ability to receive criminal record clearances through ECECD/Early Childhood Services as required by regulation and prior to providing direct services.

8. Complete training on identified curriculum within the first 60 days of hire.

9. Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.

10. Valid driver’s license in state where residing.

11. Insurable by Tresco’s automobile insurance carrier.

12. 1Maintain vehicle insurance as per State law where residing.

13. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the ECECD Home Visiting Standards, its values and the intent of Home Visiting.

14. Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data; and use intuition and experience to complement data.

15. Interpersonal Skills including maintaining confidentiality; listening to others without interrupting; and remaining open to others' ideas and model innovation.

Rate of Pay: $18.00 - $23.00/ hr

Pay Range: PRO-3

Hours: 8:00 am- 5:00pm

Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.). Employee’s must undergo a driver’s license record check; employees must pass a background check.
