Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth operations within our restaurant. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service will be key to your success in this position.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Communicate with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, providing helpful information about the menu and specials.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, striving for a positive resolution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, ensuring a pleasant environment for guests.
- Collaborate with team members to support overall restaurant operations and enhance guest relations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and staff.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, as it may be used for managing reservations and orders.
- A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing outstanding guest services.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
