Job Title: Night Auditor

Division/Department Rooms/Front Desk

Reports To Front Desk Manager

FLSA Designation Non-Exempt

Status Full time time, Hourly

Compensation Starting wage is $17.00-$19.00/hr. + incentives

Job Summary

Responsible for completing the audit process. Greet; check guests in and out of the Hotel, and assist as needed. Follow registration procedures. Collect accurate payment for services and goods. Maintain accurate room inventory. Some valet/bellman and security duties.

Job Duties

  • Prepare food and beverage and room revenue reports, audit and allocate revenue and adjustments after end of day postings are complete.
  • Perform daily audit with efficiency and accuracy in the allotted time given for each task.
  • Monitor audit journals and reports from front office computer system and point of service.
  • Input all revenue from the printed reports into spreadsheets with accuracy. Distribute reports to the Accounting department as appropriate.
  • Perform adjustments and corrections and rectify all issues and problems that occur during the day and also for each night shifts as needed.
  • Prepare audit reports for filing and email respective departments when completed.
  • Administer and reset front desk and accounting system for new daily operations.
  • Assign rooms, issue room keys, perform wake-up calls, issue informational pamphlets, take room service orders from customers, suggestive upselling, etc.
  • Collect payments from guests following appropriate safety mesaures and operational standards.
  • Ensure accuracy when accounting for rooms.
  • Make reservations over the phone, making electronic reservations from 3rd parties, & respond to email inquiries.
  • Effectively move guest vehicles to and from parking garage. Properly log the vehicles in accordance with parking standards.
  • Ensure guest property is treated in a trustworthy manner.
  • Provide support and work with the hotel’s security department in the issuing of guests’ bills, unauthorized visitors; and communicate with police and fire departments when needed.
  • Prepare and deliver overnight room service orders.
  • Communicate seamlessly with all departments of the hotel, ensuring that information is followed up on.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ensure proper interactions through attentive, courteous and efficient customer service to ensure satisfaction throughout stay.
  • Patiently answer all inquiries of our guests and assist them in every way possible.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist department, as needed.

Job Qualifications:

· Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Experience and background in reservations, ideally in branded full-service hotels, preferred.

· Knowledge of Opera PMS system, Online Travel Agency Systems (OTA’s) and Extranets preferred.

· Self-starting and outgoing personality with a pleasant disposition, and strong attention to detail.

· Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with guests and visitors.

· Fluency in English

· Proficient computer skills to include email, typing, entering and making changes to data in the property management system

· Previous hotel experience, preferably at front desk, reservations, or PBX

· Previous guest service experience

Physical Environment

The position performs indoors.

The position constantly requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; a stationary stance for long periods of time and moving about behind a reception desk; and the operation of computers and office equipment.

The position frequently requires to move items up to 25 lbs.

The position occasionally requires to move items up to 50 lbs.

The position rarely requires to perform in a stooping, kneeling, crouching or, crawling position.
