Job Description:
Responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions in order to maintain an attractive, clean, and comfortable environment to meet the needs of the residents.

Responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions in order to maintain an attractive, clean, and comfortable environment to meet the needs of the residents.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform weekly cleaning functions as directed by supervisor.
- Perform a variety of general laundry tasks and duties to provide quality laundry services of resident linens.
- Assist with maintaining the emergency power generating equipment along with all fire and life safety equipment and fire drill and safety inspection reports.
- Provide residents and staff with a timely and effective response to service requests.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly and safely. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations/ordinances.
- Report to the Director of Plant Operations any malfunctions of equipment and/or systems.

Education Required:
Completion of Jr. High or the equivalent education, training and experience.
Physical activities of the position:
- Lifts and carries up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Push and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Climbs, reaches, bends and twists occasionally
- Talks and listens occasionally
- Sits 1 hour per day; stands and walks 7 hours per day (combined) – 8-hour day
Environmental factors:
- The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
- The worker is subject to extreme heat, hazards and other environmental conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation (oven cleaners)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent in education, training and experience
- Previous experience in Memory Care preferred
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Housekeeping: 1 years
- Maintenance: 1 year
