Summary

The Housekeeper provides housekeeping services to all guest rooms according to Aileron policies and procedures and provides exceptional quality housekeeping services to enhance the overall guest experience.


Essential Functions

  • Operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment to provide fresh clean linens.
  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counter and floor surfaces.
  • Strip and make beds using clean linens.
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelves thoroughly.
  • Vacuum entire room thoroughly.
  • Empty all trash, replacing trash liners if applicable.
  • Replenish amenities, linens and supplies in guest room.
  • Ensure neat and organized housekeeping closet on the assigned guest floor.
  • Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Sign for room keys and obtain housekeeping cart.
  • Properly handle, label and store cleaning supplies.
  • Restock housekeeping cart for the following day.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests.
  • Practice chemical safety rules and follow procedures for needles and other hazardous materials.
  • Report all suspicious persons, activities or hazardous conditions to the Supervisor.
  • Turn in all items found in employee's working area to the Front Desk.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.


Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience

  • Attention to detail.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Hotel housekeeping preferred.



Work Environment

This job constantly operates in a typical indoor hotel environment. This job constantly uses standard cleaning equipment and chemicals. This job is occasionally exposed to fumes, gases, odors, dust, and biohazards.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee is constantly required to stand; move; reach with hands and arms overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; climb stairs; communicate and listen. The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, pull or place cleanings products and supplies up to 25 pounds.
